
BOOKING PROCEDURES
How to book your Yacht Charter step by step and embark on your ideal vacation.
WHAT THEN?

INFORMATION
We provide all information needed, such as:
- Base information and contacts
- Forms of the crew list
- Provisions, etc.
You must provide us:
- Crew list together with passport numbers
- Arrival information (Arrival day, time, flight, airport, etc.)
- Copies of sailing licenses (if booking a bareboat i.e.: without a professional skipper).
- Orders of any optional extras needed.

UPON ARRIVAL
We will give you a thorough briefing of the yacht, its operation, the equipment, and safety devices onboard. Also information on weather, destinations, what to see and do and answer any questions you may have.
Charters ALWAYS begin at 17:00 (5:00 pm)on the first day. In case we can deliver the yacht earlier, we will do so, but this cannot be guaranteed. Charters end at 09:00 am on the last day of charter.
We require our clients to return to bases the evening before the end of the Charter, sleep on board and depart around 09:00 am, giving us the time to get the yacht ready for the next charter.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
Mandatory DAMAGE WAIVER plus REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT (must be paid on spot)

49ft-52ft €400/week € 550/per charter
44ft-48ft €350/week € 500/per charter
38ft-43ft €300/week € 400/per charter
Up to 37ft €250/week € 350/per charter
Catamarans
Over 46ft €600/week € 1000/per charter
42ft-45ft €500/week € 1000/per charter
38ft-41ft €400/week € 1000/per charter.
Damage Waiver, reduces your financial liability in the event of damage to the yacht, damage or loss of ancillary equipment or damage caused by a third party during your charter.
Is not refunded in any circumstances and covers any loss or accident to the yacht, the equipment or third party, all risks of damage/theft whether through negligence or malicious intent, by the skipper, or by the clients. It is totally indemnified against in all cases. The refundable deposit will be kept in case of tender/ outboard loss, and clogged toilets.
On the Skippered charters (provided from SailTheGreekIslands.com), only the Damage Waiver is required without Refundable Security Deposit.

SAILING QUALIFICATIONS
BARE-BOAT CHARTERS (i.e. Without hiring a skipper) Please note, our yachts are chartered bare-boat, under the condition that at least two members of the crew have a sailing certificate. One sailing certificate is compulsory for sailing in Greece.
The skipper’s, plus a signed affidavit from one more crew members, that he has sailing knowledge. (This is Just a formality when you hire a Skipper because the Skipper will give you instructions)

INSURANCE
All our yachts are fully insured against damage to hull, gear, and equipment as well as for third-party liability. Please give your attention that yacht’s insurance does not cover your personal belongings and injuries.
PERSONAL TRAVEL INSURANCE:
With all holidays it is advisable to take out personal travel insurance to cover, cancelling or cutting short your holiday, Emergency medical expenses, Travel delay and missed departure, Personal possessions etc. There are many companies/travel agencies that provide this and you may also have a cover with your household policy.

PROVISIONS
In all our bases, provisioning is not a serious problem, since there are supermarkets inside or close to the marina of departure.
If you want to order in advance, fill in our provisioning form and everything will be delivered to you upon your arrival on the yacht.
Ask us for our provisions list and do not forget to return your order to us at least ten days before your arrival.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU
Thanks to our complete inventory and specifications, the only things you have to bring with you are clothes and personal items.
Do not forget list (Recommended items):
- Cotton trousers
- Lots of t-shirts
- Swimming apparel
- Deck shoes
- Shorts
- Casual evening wear
- Large sea towels
- Your music CDs
- A sun-hat
- Sunscreen
At the beginning and at the end of the season light waterproof weather gear is recommended, it may also be necessary.
Since storage space in the yachts is rather limited, it is better to carry your clothes in soft-sided bags and not in suitcases.

CANCELATION POLICY
FLEXIBLE BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY
For you to look forward, we have adjusted our booking and cancellation policy.
For any NEW booking confirmed until 31.01.2023
- a deposit of 30% is required upon booking within 7 days
- the balance payment of 70% is due 45 days before embarkation
- charter can be cancelled free of charge, 70 days before embarkation and the deposit will be refunded immediately.
- PAYMENTS for bookings confirmed after 01/02/2023
A 20% deposit is required, upon signing the charter contract and within 7 days of the booking confirmation
A 30% deposit is required, 60 days after the first advance payment
The remaining balance of 50% is required 30 days prior to departure to our bank account
The full payment is required for last moment bookings only by credit card, Master or Visa
Rescheduling of the charter is subject to availability. When rescheduling the charter, the client may choose to
- Perform a change of the booking with a bigger or smaller yacht, subject to payment of the additional price-list difference
- Reschedule to a higher/lower pricelist period subject to payment of the additional price-list difference
The reschedule/change will be accepted the latest 70 days before embarkation.
In less than 69 days, the 30% advance payment will not be refunded.
CANCELLATION POLICY for bookings confirmed after 01/02/2023
Booking cancelled, more than 75 days before embarkation, 20% of the total charter fee
Booking cancelled between 74 & 31 days before embarkation, 50% of the total charter fee
Booking cancelled less than 30 days before embarkation, 100% of the total charter fee
Upgrade/change, subject to the cancellation policy.

NEW BOOKINGS
To encourage new bookings, we can offer a lower deposit to get the initial booking, 30% deposit upon confirming the boat and the remaining 70% 30 days before embarkation.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will amend our policy accordingly.
